Hello? Is Mary there? (NO!)
Every three months our phone starts ringing off the hook.
Are the calls for me? No.
Are the calls for Mark? No.
And the calls aren’t for Becca, either.
No, they are for the woman who had this number before us. And I really kind of think that she is still giving it out. When we first got the phone number in November, it rang non-stop. All creditors trying to reach this woman. I talked to all of them, and got them to stop calling.
Three months later, it started again. And then again. This is the latest surge. Calling all day long. There have been two already this morning. Becca is sleeping on the futon (after getting up at 5:45 this morning) so I finally just unplugged it.
I kind of wish I had asked Time Warner to give us a new number when we first got the phone set up. At this point, it would be too much of a hassle to try and change it. But she seriously gets more calls than we do sometimes. I answer, solve the problem, but then there is always a new batch of them just waiting to call…
But, I would rather creditors call for her instead of for me.

Is there someone you can complain to? Are they the same creditors or new ones? I would say I’d beat them up but I have 2 conditions on that…1)they are under 100 lbs or they are less than 5 years old and 2) they are within a county of us
I have to make sure I can actually take them, thus condition #1 lol
She must still be giving out your number! Ug. Bad karma for her. Hope it stops soon:)
