A Blog About Nothing

by Margo on May 15, 2009

Any Seinfeld fans out there? Mark is a huge fan. And, just as nothing particular seems to happen in that show, nothing really particular has been going on in my life. So, consider this a weekly recap.

Monday- We got our federal tax return, and got it deposited. Bought some groceries. Did some work. And we watched the season finale of House. Which was just depressing. Poor House. But the wedding was nice, and I’m looking forward to next season.

Tuesday- We actually got to spend some of the tax return. I ordered approximately 9 million books (okay, really close to 50. And most of them are for work. So they don’t count). Mark ordered shoes. Let me tell you something about my husband– He has the best luck ever with finding deals. He found a $70 pair of sandals for $20. And then he had a coupon for $15 off, when combined with his sneaker purchase. Ridiculous. We also ordered most of the new furniture. We will actually have a couch soon. Hurray!

Wednesday- Had good intentions of going to the park. But it was cold. Mark had to get up early to bring the van over to my dad’s house, so that the brakes could get fixed. By 5:00 pm, we had a vehicle (still at Dad’s) that we could drive without risking our lives. And I got my camera delivered.

Thursday- Got the van back. It was rainy and cold all day. Becca took a decent nap (first time all week). Dad and Sheila (my step-mom) came over, bring all sorts of treats for Becca. Also, my sister Sam came home from college.

Friday- Might actually get out of the house today. I have to go buy a card for a friend, and I would like to get to the park for a while. I am hoping that a couple packages show up today. And I have decided on a big announcement (okay, maybe not that big) within the next two weeks. No, Sam (and Shannon. And Mom. And anyone else who is jumping to conclusions), I am not pregnant. Sorry.

This weekend we are going up to the mall (I get some new clothes. Like jeans. As I haven’t bought a pair in over 3 years.), and then out to the Olive Garden. My first time ever, and I have been spending some time this week going over the menu, so that it doesn’t take me three hours to order when we get there.

Time to find Becca some breakfast. I’ll try to come back later with a more exciting post.

You know, I feel like my life is about nothing sometimes, too – that it’s so mundane. Good luck with the jeans shopping!

You will love the breadsticks at Olive Garden, they’re so tasty!
